Hallett Elementary would like to congratulate Mrs.Tommi Ogle for being selected as the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), District 9, 2023-24 Teacher of the Year . Each year, the VFW selects Elementary, Middle and 
High School teachers to participate in the Smart/Maher VFW National Citizenship Education Teacher Program. This award is for teachers who promote civic responsibility, flag etiquette and patriotism. She was nominated by a coworker for her work as the ASB Advisor. She was chosen as the winner at the local Airway Heights VFW Post 3386. From there, they submitted the package to the District level (District 9) and she won! As an award winner at the District level, her award package is now being submitted to the State level.
