Kindergarten–8th Grade Online Learning Options
Students in grades K–8 may participate full-time in an online, off-site program using the Edmentum curriculum. This program offers a flexible schedule with ongoing support from certificated teachers based on the Medical Lake campus. 504 and IEP services are available as needed. Each student will have a Written Student Learning Plan (WSLP) that outlines classes and credits, along with regular check-ins and progress monitoring.
Program Requirements & Expectations
Written Student Learning Plan: Developed by a certificated teacher.
Monthly Progress Reviews: Completed by a certificated teacher and shared with the student and guardian.
Intervention Plans: Created collaboratively by certificated teachers, students, and/or guardians if additional support is needed to stay on track.
Weekly Contact: Initiated by the student through a two-way academic conversation (online or in-person) with their teacher. Additional in-person check-ins or academic support may be scheduled as determined by the student and teacher.
Student Commitment: Students are expected to dedicate approximately 28 hours per week to online coursework.
