Students of the Month for May
(Serenity Bremer, Brenna Strain, Kelly Hodgen)
 
Three students have been selected as students of the month for Medical Lake Middle School. Brenna Strain was selected by her 8th grade teachers because, “Brenna has a quiet determination that serves her well both in attitude and accomplishments.She doesn't “showboat” or bring attention to herself; instead, she sets herself upon a task and works diligently until it is done and done well. Whether it is composing a magazine on mythology or taking a test, Brenna quietly maintains one of the highest grade averages in the class and demonstrates exemplary citizenship.” 
 
One of Serenity Bremer's 7th grade teachers said, "Serenity brings positive energy to everyone around her. She is a hard worker who stands up to bullying.”
 
And, Kelly Hodgen was selected by her 6th grade teachers because, “She always completes quality work that is beyond what is expected. She gets along with all the other students. She always has a smile on her face and is happy to be in class.” Congratulations to these three students!

Medical Lake School District Library Search
You can search for and find books from any of the libraries in Medical Lake School District. If a book you want is located at a different school, talk to Mrs. Rolwes and she can get it for you.
The College Bound Scholarship guides low-income 7th and 8th graders on the path to a college education by offering the promise of tuition when the student reaches college age if the student keeps up his or her grades and stays crime-free. Please follow this link to apply online!

Assessment and LEarning in Knowledge Spaces is a Web-based, artificially intelligent assessment and learning system. Students at MLMS use Aleks to support their math curriculum.
MY Access
My Access is an online writing program that supports students as writers by providing writing tools and timely, descriptive feedback to improve their writing. Contact your writing teacher for additional information.
